There are a few food combinations that never get old. Peanut butter and jelly is one of those combinations for me. I will gladly eat a PB&J most any day. This recipe using that delicious combination recently called out to me from the pages of one of my favorite cookbooks, Martha Stewart’s Cookies.

Sometimes I think chocolate can be made into just about any dessert form. Here we have it as a cobbler, which is usually associated with fruit. While I don’t think that this is a cobbler in the traditional sense, I find that it’s so good that I don’t really care what you call it.

As a general rule, I’m not much of a fan of the standard chocolate chip cookie. In fact, you’ll find that the pages of BoB do not contain such a cookie. I usually like something else tossed in there with the chocolate. Maybe some nuts or dried fruit or whatever else catches my attention from my pantry shelves.

While waiting in line at the grocery store the other day, I casually glanced over the magazine selections. That’s always a good time to catch up on celebrity gossip and alien abductions. Amidst the usual impulse-buy fodder, my eye was drawn to Paula Deen’s Chocolate Celebration.
Of course, my love of chocolate is no secret. My admiration of Paula Deen isn’t either. How can you love decadent desserts and not be a fan? So, into the cart it went. My first pass through the magazine yielded quite a few recipes I wanted to try.

I do not like summer. Really, what’s all the fuss? It’s just hot, and I don’t like being hot. Of course, if I lived somewhere other than the South, I might feel differently. Here, our summer seems to last half of the year.
I don’t mean to be start out being so negative, but all of my summer-related whining does have a point. There are a couple of things that I like about summer. Well, now that I think about it, there may just be one: fresh berries.
