Chocolate Chip Date Nut Cookies

These delicious cookies are described in this Bake or Break post.

  • 2 & 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 & 1/4 cups butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 & 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 & 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • 8 ounces chopped dates
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
 Combine flour, baking soda, and salt, and set aside. Beat butter, and then add both sugars. Next, add eggs, one at a time. Then, add vanilla extract. Slowly add nuts, dates, and chocolate chips.
Drop onto greased/sprayed/lined cookie sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool for a few minutes on cookies sheets, then finish cooling on wire racks.
