  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 ounces unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 ounces buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Preheat waffle iron. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and butter; then add buttermilk. Add to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Let batter rest for 5 minutes.
Pour or ladle batter onto waffle iron. Close top and cook until golden brown.
